Saturday, 11th February 2012, 10:30am: Coffee Morning
Winter Coffee Morning at our popular country venue at The Langton Arms,
Tarrant Monkton, nr Blandford, DT11 8RX (click here for map). We have arranged a speaker, Dr Fouz Rahmeh from
Poole Hospital, who will speak about the Lupus Clinical Trials she is currently involved
with. Please come along, enjoy the morning and learn more about how clinical trials
work!
There'll be coffee and pastries, we'll have a range of Lupus UK items on sale including the
new 'So You've Got Lupus' DVD and booklet at just £2 a copy, our Library with a range of lupus-related books etc for you to borrow, and
we'll finish off with the usual raffle.
Saturday, 31st March 2012, 10:30am: DLG AGM & Coffee Morning
Our AGM will be at the Howard Centre, Christchurch Hospital, Fairmile Road, Christchurch BH23
2JX.
(click here for map). We will have two speakers — Dr. Neil Hopkinson and Chris Maker
(Lupus UK) followed by a Q & A session chaired by MP Chris Chope. As well of course as
electing the new committee for 2012.

Sunday, 20th May 2012, 13:00-17:00pm: NGS Open Garden Teas
Every year we help out at the Trehane's three Open Garden days at their Manor Fram,
Hampreston, nr Wimborne. A happy band of volunteer helpers is needed each time to serve tea
& cakes and we usually manage to make a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of it, with the
very worthwhile proceeds going to Lupus UK through our Group. This is the first of the three
dates for 2012. Please get in touch (phone or email any of the committee) if you are willing to
lend a hand.
The other dates this year are Sunday 10th June and Sunday 5th August.
June: Date to be confirmed: Summer Boat Trip
Following the success of the very enjoyable excursion by boat last September across Poole
Harbour and up the river to Wareham Quay, we're planning a similar excursion in the summer,
maybe a little further afield this time. Watch this space for further details and a booking
form!

and talk about Desserts — his demonstration last time was well received and thoroughly
enjoyed. Like last time there will be a chance to sample the lovely desserts after each one
has been made. If you didn't make it to his talk last August you should definitely come to
this one!
