Thursday 10th May 2012: World Lupus Day
The annual date for raising awareness of lupus across the world. Join us in reminding friends, family, supporters and the press/media that this is the date when EVERYONE around the world should be aware of the disease, its affects on its many sufferers, and the need for support and ongoing research to improve understanding, care and treatment and maybe one day find a proper cure.

Sunday 13th May 2012: 21st Lupus UK Annual Conference & AGM

This year's venue is the Cardiff Marriott Hotel, Mill Lane, Cardiff, Wales CF10 1EZ, a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre, offering deluxe accommodation with secure car parking. Full details and a booking form were given on a separate sheet enclosed with the Winter 2011 copy of the National Lupus UK magazine 'News & Views', but if you don't have a copy then please contact one of us.

This is always worth attending to hear a superb range of speakers on the latest developments in lupus research and treatment etc. and to meet others from around the country. The gathering commences on Saturday evening with a Meet and Greet event hosted by the local Lupus Group - South Wales this year - whilst the main event commences at 9:00am on the Sunday morning and lasts much of the day, with a luncheon and afternoon tea provided.

Many of us attend and a day trip just to attend the Conference on the Sunday will be feasible with an early start - we'll make some arrangements for shared travel for those who wish. Some however will prefer to make a weekend of it, staying at the conference hotel (special rates are available for those booking before 31st March) or making their own separate arrangements for accommodation.

"Lupus is a disease that has no boundaries, please help us spread the word."
